Songwriters Jon Stone and Kristy Osmunson make up the duo American Young. If you read our previous article about the Nashville Meets London Music Festival, you read about these two. We’ve been fans of American Young for a long time, so we love seeing new music from them.
Jon and Kristy have written hit songs for artists such as Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts and Joey + Rory. “Be Here” is the opening track from their debut self-titled album co-produced by Lee Brice and Jon Stone, who is also the writer behind Brice’s Number One hit single, “A Woman Like You.” The song is an invitation to shut out the outside world and live in the now. The duo who played a string of international shows in the spring, including Country2Country in London, will continue to tour the U.S and abroad throughout the rest of the year.
A few years ago, “Love and War” hit radio and I really liked it. It spent a lot of time on our local country radio station, and I’m sure that was the case in most parts of the country. I like this new one just as much. Drop me a line, let me know what you think of “Be Here”.
