Shari Rowe’s new single, “Take That Shot,” is set to release on Sept. 19, 2016. The song is what we would call ‘today’s country music’. The light-hearted, up-tempo song will immediately remind you of just about everything you are already hearing on our Top 40 Country Stations. It is going to fit right in with what you are already used to hearing, and, at the same time give you something new to enjoy. Her vocals are nothing short of awesome, and the song nicely blends a touch of bluegrass and classic country with the music of today.
With great lyrics, a good story, and an encouraging message about taking that shot, when the right opportunity presents itself – this song is the kind that makes you smile when you hear it, and makes you want to sing along with it even before you learn the words. It’s a dance with, move with, tap your feet with good song, that you aren’t going to forget once you hear it. Excuse me, I’m singing now … “…on our way to Tennessee, I got someone sitting in my shotgun seat, he’s the first and last thing on my mind, thank God that I fell for that stupid pickup line. I guess you gotta fly to fall, sometimes you gotta risk it all, glad my heart don’t listen to my head, never had so much to lose, if I keep holding on to you, we’ve got even better things ahead…”.
Shari says “Take That Shot” describes just that. “it’s all about taking a chance,” she said. “You never know how amazing something could turn out if you don’t take a shot at it.” With piano and fiddle bringing the bluegrass element to this modern country song, we think Shari has a hit on her hands. The song was produced by Grammy award-winning Rukkus Room (Justin Moore, Thomas Rhett, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift_.
I don’t know a lot about Shari, but I do know I like her song! I also know that she is an Arizona-based country singer/songwriter, and is recording for Maven Records. She has already opened for Parmalee and Three Dog Night. and, I’m pretty sure we’ll see her opening for a lot of other artists before she steps out on a stage as the headliner. Her bio on her website tell us “When she is not traveling the world sharing her original songwriting, she is a valued member of her church worship team, spends quality time with her family, and promotes music education in schools”.
Shari is also a Celebrity Ambassador of the Red Note Foundation, an organization that brings music education into the lives of students and young adults.Team members are described as “the heart of our organization” and volunteer their time and effort to music lessons, concert experience, sponsorships, and instrument donations. As the celebrity ambassador, Shari Rowe will utilize her star power to spread awareness for the foundation, aiding in bringing in donations for the organization. “I love music, and I love helping others,” said Shari. “This is what it’s all about; this is why I do what I do.” [Source]
