Thanksgiving may have been a few days ago, but some stories just don’t get old. Often when we close the office for the holidays, we get a little behind with our articles, but, this is one of them we wanted to share with you. On the night before Thanksgiving, in the year 2016, Casey Donahew brought his band into Denver’s Grizzly Rose, packed to the rafters with his ardent fans.
Earlier that day, he had visited radio station KYGO, in Denver, which was in the midst of fundraising for its Christmas Crusade for Children, so Casey decided to put together a basket of the things he and his band are thankful for and auction it off at the show.
Casey also threw in the opportunity for whoever made the highest bid to join him on stage to sing “Friends In Low Places.” When the bidding finished, he had four takers who all gave $2,500 for this package and he raised $10,000 for KYGO’s Christmas Crusade for Children!
A man who we are all proud to represent! Casey’s new single “Kiss Me” is currently climbing the charts.
