Our country music families are growing! In 2016,a dozen babies joined the families of some of our country music artists. First to join was Love Lily Brust,, the 7 lb. 7 oz. daughter of Preston and Kristen Brust. Preston is half of the duo LOCASH. Keeping up with his partner, Chris Lucas and his wife Kaitlyn had a daughter, Remi McKenna Lucas, born March 21. The baby weighed 6 lb., 10 oz.
Thompson Square’s Shawna and Keifer Thompson welcomed their son, Rigney Cooper Thompson, on Jan. 24. Rigney weighed in at 7 lb. 13 oz.
Jana Kramer and husband Michael Caussin added 7 lb. 1 oz. Jolie Rae Caussin to their family on Jan. 31. Most who follow country music news know that Jana and Michael are currently separated.
Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and his wife Cassie didn’t quite make it until Valentine’s Day to welcome their new son, Ward Charles Kelley, 7 lb. 9 oz, who was born on Feb. 11.
Holly Williams and Chris Coleman met their new daughter, Lillie Mae Louise Coleman, 8 lb. 15 oz., on March 8.
March 23 is the birthday of Presley Morgan, daughter of William Michael Morgan. She weighed in at 7 lb. 9 oz.
Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock said hello to their new son on April 12. They named him Remington Alexander Blackstock (Remy).
Granger and Amber Smith added their third child on May 16. Granger tweeted, “Heart and hands are full. We added one more boy to this clan, River Kelly Smith has joined his brother and sister!” River was a big boy, weighing in at 9 lb. 10 oz.
Zac Brown Band member Coy Bowles and wife Kylie Bowles welcomed their daughter, Hathe Bowles on Oct. 21.
Another member of Zac Brown Band, Clay Cook and his wife Brooke Cook, added Charles Robert Cook to their family on Nov. 4. Charles weighed 8 lb.
Last for the year, Eli Young Band member Jon Jones and wife, Sarah, brought daughter Lila Pascale home, she weighed in at 7 lb.
