Anyone who is ready to see Reba back on television might get their chance. But, don’t expect something like “Reba” or “Mailbu Country,” because this is not going to be a comedy.
Reba will take on the roll of Ruby Adair, a small-town Kentucky sheriff, in the new ABC Drama. ABC hasn’t said when we might be seeing the premiere of the show, but did say they have ordered a pilot for her new hour-long series, which is yet untitled.
“We haven’t started filming yet,” Reba told FOX News, “We’re still waiting for the formal go-ahead from ABC. they announced it, which I was shocked about and thrilled to death about,” she said. [Source]
The show comes will come from Marc Cherry, creator of “Desperate Housewives”. Cherry is writing the pilot. Both he and McEntire will serve as executive producers, along with his producing partner Sabrina Wind through their Cherry-Wind Productions banner. Mindy Schultheis and Michael Hanel of Acme Productions are also executive producers. ABC Studios is producing. [Source]
