[Press Release] “America’s Got Talent” season 12 winner and audience favorite Darci Lynne shines bright this holiday season, performing and hosting in her first original TV special. “Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas,” which aired Tuesday, Dec. 11 on NBC, proved to be quite a success for the now 14-year-old singer/ventriloquist, as the program drew 6.565 million total viewers and Darci was trending on social media. NBC will re-air the special Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The one hour telecast filmed in both Los Angeles and Darci’s hometown of Oklahoma City, featured musical performances and sketches from the young dynamo and her beloved puppets, plus some very special guests including multi-award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth, singer-songwriter Toby Keith, country music trailblazer Hunter Hayes, three-time Grammy-Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Pentatonix and two-time Billboard Music Award-winning electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling. Some of Farmer’s first fans, “America’s Got Talent” judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B, also made a special appearance.
Darci and her guests performed treasured holiday classics including “Santa Baby,” “Mary Did You Know,” Santa Clause Is Coming To Town” and more. Darci’s first single “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” from the special is available everywhere now.
Darci gained national attention when she won NBC’s hit series “America’s Got Talent” in 2017. She captivated audiences with her incredible performances alongside puppets Oscar and Petunia, earning the most votes ever for a winning act. Darci’s national tour has played in over 50 markets this past year to sell-out crowds, including the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. She also marked an important milestone with her stage debut at the Grand Ole Opry, and has since returned for multiple performances.
Darci’s first-ever holiday tour, “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree with Darci Lynne and Friends,” is under way now. In addition, her 18-city “Fresh Out of the Box Tour” kicks off Feb. 15, 2019. Additional information and tickets for both shows are available now at www.darcilynne.com.

About Darci Lynne: Winning NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” at just 12-years old by the most votes for a final performance in the history of the show, singer/ventriloquist Darci Lynne impresses audiences across the country with her sweetheart disposition and undeniable, show-stopping talent beyond her years. Accompanied by her musical friends including a divaesque rabbit: Petunia, a shy and soulful mouse: Oscar and a sarcastic old woman: Edna. Singing through her friends helped the young entertainer find a voice inside she didn’t know she had and helped her overcome a lifelong struggle with shyness. An Oklahoma native, Darci began participating in talent-based pageants at a young age and picked up ventriloquism shortly after. Two weeks later, Darci began tackling talent shows, eventually making it to the biggest talent show on television, NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” Following her big win, she has been featured on NBC’s “Little Big Shots,” Food Network’s “Kids Baking Championship,” “Ellen” and “TODAY.” Her first Christmas special “Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas” aired in Dec. 11, 2018. Darci and her friends are continually on the road bringing smiles to audiences across the country. In 2019 Darci is set to appear on NBC’s spin-off series “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” premiering Jan. 7 and will hit the road for her Fresh Out of the Box Tour in February.
