Last night, country’s hottest rising star Tucker Wetmore took the stage at the 18th ACM Honors, marking his first time both performing and presenting at the country music industry’s favorite night. Held at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Wetmore delivered a fiery performance of “Already Had It,” one of two tracks he contributed to the star-studded blockbuster and ACM Film Award winner Twisters, as well as presenting the ACM Industry Awards and Studio Recording Awards throughout the evening.
“It meant a lot to be part of a night that celebrates the unsung heroes of country music,” shares Wetmore. “The players, the engineers, the venues, the people behind the scenes — they’re the heartbeat of this industry, and I was honored to tip my hat to them.”
The milestone appearance comes on the heels of Wetmore’s record-breaking debut album What Not To (April 25), which made history as the biggest country album debut from a new artist in 2025. The album debuted at the No. 15 spot on Billboard’s all-genre 200 Albums chart and helped propel Wetmore to over 1.2 BILLION total global streams in just over a year. After securing his first No.1 at Country radio with “Wind Up Missin’ You,” his follow-up single “3,2,1” continues to climb, recently cracking a spot in the Top 20.
Critics have hailed the project as a defining introduction. The Tennessean praised Wetmore for being “built differently” and called What Not To “sure to be heard at all times, day or night, worldwide.” GRAMMY.com spotlighted the album’s “self-awareness and vulnerability” while American Songwriter declared it “a statement articulating who he is as an artist and person… that he is here to stay.”
Following his record-breaking debut, Wetmore continues stacking career firsts. In July, the ACM New Male Artist of the Year nominee became the first celebrity face of Wrangler’s All-Terrain Gear collection, starring in the brand’s new outdoor campaign, Unplugged. He’s also set to appear on BigXthaPlug’s upcoming album I Hope You’re Happy with the track “About You,” releasing tomorrow, Aug. 22.
