DSCN2628Since it is already July 8, I think it’s time we get finished with Independence Day 2017. Our Pepsi Independence Day Fireworks Celebration in Johnson City, Tenn., is never a disappointment to the thousands who come out to enjoy a day of music, food, fun, contests and of course fireworks. Clare Dunn was the headliner this year, finishing up her show just before the fireworks lit up the sky.

We’ve had a number of articles posted about Clare, since we first saw her open for Parmalee at our Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn. [Article here] That was back in 2014, so we were excited to have her back at the July 4 event this year. Since then, Clare’s singles, “Move On” and “Tuxedo” both landed on Billboard’s Top 100 Country Charts, she had two great videos on CMT, and she continues to travel throughout the US with her band, putting on shows to sell-out crowds.

Clare was a backup singer on Luke Bryan’s “Country Girl (Shake it for Me)”, and after releasing her first single, “Get Out” in 23013, she became the highest charting independent female artist on the Music Row Country Breakout chart in 10 years. Clare released her second single “Cowboy Side of You” in 2014, and was listed by Sounds Like Nashville as one of the Artists to Watch for 2017.

We always look forward to seeing artists come back to this area who are friendly, out-going, and are eager to spend a little time with their fans.  Clare is one of those artists.  This beautiful, talented young lady also appreciates the folks who take the time to come see her shows.

Also on stage at this all-day concert event were Jimbo Whaley and Greenbrier; Ashley Tragler & Six Gun; and Nashville recording artist, Austin Moody.  We are going to share a few photos with all of you, and close this out with a video from Clare.  Hope everyone reading had as great a July 4 as we did here in Northeast, Tennessee. Thank you Clare, Jimbo, Ashley and Austin for providing a day full of great music for fans.
