Kind of Blue Music CEO Robbie Brooks Moore, whose label is releasing the project, said “Solid Ground” honors the very human journey of overcoming great obstacles while offering hope and inspiration to others.

“We are so proud to be a part of this project Rebecca envisioned and to which Adrianne graciously said yes. When we can support a worthy cause through the creation of great art, everyone wins,” Moore said.

Ultimately, 50 percent of the song proceeds will support Limbs For Life Foundation. – Haslet is a board member and ambassador.  Limbs for Life is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fully functional prosthetic care for individuals who cannot otherwise afford it and raising awareness of the challenges facing amputees.

Rebecca wrote this empowering ballad and then literally dreamed about Adrianne dancing on a ship. Her vision was so clear we went ahead and made it happen.” Moore said. “Seeing her vision translate into this beautiful work and the resulting friendship with Adrianne, who was someone that has inspired so many people already, is just simply beautiful. It’s lifted us all up. This song celebrates surviving challenges with grace and courage and finding solid ground.”

A runner and Boston area native, Correia first followed Haslat on Instagram (www.instagram.com/adriannehaslet) where her story and passion for dance have been chronicled.

I’m a runner and Adrianne’s a dancer and we both share a love of Boston and the marathon.  ‘Solid Ground’ was written from my personal experience. After I wrote the song, I actually dreamed of Adrianne dancing on a historic ship owned by Tabor Academy,” Correia said.  “Growing up in Rochester, Massachusetts, I appreciated the great reputation of Tabor and had previously done a seminar workshop performance for the students. They were kind enough to allow us to film on their over 100-year-old, double-masted schooner, Tabor Boy, in Sippican Harbor that was piloted by their high school students. It was an absolutely magical experience.”

Correia collaborated with videographer Rob Ranney on the “Solid Ground” video.  The duo had previously produced the highly acclaimed video “Oh, Nashville” which earned an International Portuguese Music Award for Best Music Video in 2015.  For more information, visit www.kindofbluemusic.com or Facebook.com/rebecciacorreiamusic.
