Any surprises for you on that list of nominees?  I keep wondering how long “Body Like A Back Road” is going to be a nominee for anything.  The song was released Feb. 1, 2017. By the time this award show airs, we will be just two months away from 2019. I seem to remember “Girl Crush” was also nominated for several years following its release. I do love the fact that “Drunk Girl” is also nominated for Song of the Year.  Great song, great story.

Who thinks we don’t have any women worthy of an Entertainer of the Year Nomination.  I think we have a number of them who deserve to be nominated.  But, there aren’t any.  That happens more often than not.  No nominations anywhere for Blake Shelton. I like seeing Midland in the New Vocal Group list … although my choice would be to put them in either New Artist of the Year or Vocal Group of the Year, but not both. I was a little surprised that Kacey Musgraves got two nominations.  I know she is still putting out music and touring, but we just aren’t hearing her on the radio (which is where a lot of country fans get all of their music).

When it takes three hours to hand out 12 awards, you know you are in for a lot of entertainment in between those awards. Mark you calendars for Nov. 14.  You aren’t going to want to miss a minute of this show.
