CH 1On Saturday, Sept. 15, we attended the inaugural Smith & Wesley Benefit Concert.  All proceeds from the show will go to the Wes and Shirley Smith Endowment Fund. We told you about this great concert in an article posted on Sept. 19.We are also going to tell you about each of the artists who took part in this great benefit concert.

This article will be about Cotter Hill, but be sure to check back often, as additional articles will be posted about Mitch Rossell, Bucky Covington, Smith & Wesley and John Anderson.

Cotter Hill is a singer-songwriter from Cleveland, Tenn. He now resides in Nashville, where he has been living and working on his music career since 2016.  Cotter considers his genre to be ‘pop country’, but, watching his performance on Saturday, and listening to his music, I though more country than pop. He is a great vocalist, who looks like he’s having a great time performing.  Cotter Hill is definitely a crowd pleaser.

CH 3
In addition to several of his original songs, Cotter sang “Rumor,” which is currently climbing the charts as a Lee Brice Single.  He did an acoustic performance on Saturday, with the help of guitarist Stephan Guy.  Though he didn’t have a full band backing him, Cotter did a fantastic job with “Rumor”.

Some of the songs he did were his current single, “Sober Up”, the title track from his debut EP, which was released in April, “Me Without You”, and “Second Hand Smoke”, which is he will be recording soon. There were a lot of performances scheduled for Saturday’s concert, and unfortunately, that meant a short set for the openers.  It was a nice introduction to this talented new artist, but I would have loved a longer show. He has upcoming shows on his website, so keep an eye on that to find out when he might be performing near you. The EP is available on all music platforms.
