ShooterScooter Brown of the Scooter Brown Band performed Tuesday, November 20 on USA Network’s new country music showcase series “Real Country.” The southern rocker was chosen by panelist and country music icon Travis Tritt to compete in the debut season of the series. Brown was recently featured in an article by The Boot: “Real Country’: 5 Contestants Who Might Win It.” Fans can watch the episode here.

In the first round, Scooter was the first contestant to perform. With his rendition of Can’t You See by The Marshall Tucker Band, he topped his two fellow contestants with 4.3 out of 5 stars. Scooter made it to the second and final round of the show, performing Ramblin’ Man by The Allman Brothers Band, gaining positive critique from each of the judges but in the end, came in second to contestant Kylie Frey.

“He’s one of the few people that get my total respect in this industry – he’s a great songwriter, he’s a great singer, he’s a great overall entertainer and if you could give him six stars, I’d tell you to do that!” – panelist Travis Tritt.

“The whole package is there, man, you did a great job.” – panelist Jake Owen.

“I appreciate that fact that it’s simple. Sometimes when you watch a singer you feel like they’re removed from the audience and it was real to me.” – guest judge Wynonna.

“You are very sincere, great job,” – panelist Shania Twain.

“I had an amazing experience on Real Country. Everyone from the band, stage crew, producers and artists were great to work with. I’m grateful to Travis Tritt for believing in me and providing me an opportunity to perform on the show. I honestly feel like any of the 21 artists on the show could win on any given day. So much talent. I love Nashville, country music and country music fans and I love that there is a show on national television to showcase it all.” – Scooter Brown.

“Real Country” airs Tuesday nights on USA Network at 9 p.m. CST.
