In an interview with Julia Searle earlier today, TV host Cameron Wallace (Camo) announced the launch of “Camo’s Rising Star Road Trip.” The show has evolved from Nashville Meets World.

Camo introduced the show, its mission, and what it aims to achieve, earlier today (June 29), on www.facebook.com/RisingStarRoadTrip and www.youtube.com/NashvilleMeetsWorldTV.

Camo’s Rising Star Road Trip will continue to champion indie artists of all genres, exposing these indie artists to a worldwide audience.

“It’s important,” says Camo. We have found incredible indie artists from several countries around the world, creating great music, but are largely unknown outside of their own country or region. I love how our audiences are connecting with them! I’m still blown away that someone in Saudi Arabia or China can connect with an artist from Sweden or the UK, for example. There’s so much music out there, and being given a sort of ‘heads up’ from our show can help them be mined from the vast amount of music on digital platforms. We’re really proud that we’re becoming a world-wide influencer.”

Nashville Meets World was a “stepping stone” to Camo’s Rising Star Road Trip, according to Camo. “That’s right. With my move from Nashville back to England, it provides us with really unique opportunities. We’re starting sort of close to home, in Greater London, and expanding throughout the UK. As more countries open up, we’ll be travelling to them.”

Camo’s Rising Star Road Trip will be a weekly one-hour web-tv series, airing on the channel’s Facebook page and Youtube channel. Talks are underway to move to broader, on-demand platforms. Camo says, “This is a great opportunity for advertisers to be a part of something innovative, entertaining, music, and tourism driven.”
