Country Thunder has music festivals scheduled in six states and Saskatchewan, Canada for the 2022 festival season. It was just announced that Bristol, Tenn., is one of those locations! This is big news for Northeast Tennessee country music fans. Headliners for Country Thunder Bristol are Morgan Wallen and Jason Aldean. Other artists performing will be Hardy, Lauren Alaina, Tracy Lawrence, Travis Tritt, Kameron Marlowe, MacKenzie Porter and Ian Munsick. And, there will be more artists announced in the coming months.
In addition to Jason Aldean and Morgan Wallen, Country Thunder music festival throughout the country will include Chris Young, Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line,, Kip Moore, Lee Brice, Riley Green and many others. WXBQ 96.9 FM in Bristol, Va., has been the long-time concert headquarters for country music fans in Northeast Tenn. and Southwest, Va. They were a huge part of Morgan’s 2021 concert in Bristol, and were able to give concert tickets to many lucky listeners. I’m guessing that just might happen again this year.
