Mercury Nashville recording artist and ACM New Female Artist of the Year Nominee, Priscilla Block, hit another milestone in her thriving young career on Friday (Feb. 18) while joining SiriusXM’s Buzz Brainard for The Highway’s Music Row Happy Hour. In the studio to surprise Priscilla, RIAA’s Jackie Jones popped into the live broadcast saying, “I am here to do one of my favorite things – to give an artist their very first certification. I’d like to congratulate you on your first Gold record!” and presented Priscilla with a “Just About Over You” Gold Certification plaque for the hit single.

“I’m at a loss for words!” shared a stunned Priscilla. “This is because of y’all [family, friends, supporters, and fans] MY FIRST CERTIFIED GOLD SINGLE. Thank y’all for keeping music alive and continuing to buy and stream my music and letting me have a dang career doing what I love!”

Making it all the sweeter was getting to share the moment with her friends at SiriusXM, who pegged Priscilla as one of its Highway Finds back before she had fully caught the attention of Music Row.

Since exploding onto the Country music scene in 2020 and building a fanbase via TikTok with hit viral songs like “Thick Thighs,” “PMS” and “Just About Over You,” Priscilla has landed on numerous Artist to Watch lists including Amazon Music, CMT, MusicRow, Spotify, Sounds Like Nashville, Pandora and more. Her major label debut album, Welcome to the Block Party, is available now, her brand-new single “My Bar” is currently playing on country radio, and fans can find Priscilla on the road headlining her first-ever Welcome to the Block Party Tour.

“She cuts through mainstream monotony with stories authentic to her experience — or in her words, the trashy, sassy and sad.” – The Tennessean/USA Today Network

“It’s a refreshing and accomplished pop-country debut album, and an ambitious one too… The sheer scale of some of the album’s choruses – on “My Bar,” “Heels in Hand,” “Wish You Were the Whiskey” and others – recalls the power country of the 1990s and early 2000s, when the genre was taking its cues from arena rock, and when its pop ambitions were unfettered. Nothing about this album is shy.” – The New York Times

“Now, Block is far from her high school days and on top of the world. With her debut album out, a hit single, and her first ACM nomination, Block is on her way to being country music’s bold and hilarious it girl.” -MusicRow

“Just like anything, timing is everything, and no one knows that better than country powerhouse Priscilla Block.” – American Songwriter

Originally from Raleigh, NC, Priscilla moved to Nashville to pursue music shortly after high school. In Nashville, the affable, hardworking, student of life worked multiple jobs to make ends meet, then a chance encounter with her idol – Taylor Swift – was the sign she needed to dive all the way in on her music. Priscilla is a seasoned performer sharing the stage and opening for artists including Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley McBryde, Rodney Atkins and more.
