Beaming with gratitude through his set, Langston shared, “I’m so thankful. I’m giving God the glory for making this happen tonight. I’m just soaking in this moment right now.”

Adding to last night’s bucket-list moment, Langston was surprised backstage with a plaque commemorating “Forever Girl” being certified GOLD by the RIAA. “Forever Girl” was the first song Langston ever wrote, kicking off a career that has seen the Georgia native sell out shows across the country and tally more than 500 million total streams.

“It all started with this song when I wrote it in college, and it changed my life forever,” said Langston as he led into “Forever Girl.” Honoring his family, friends and team present at the milestone performance, he added “I’m seeing a bunch of familiar faces out here tonight that have gotten me where I am today, and I want to take this time to say thank you so much. I love y’all, this song is for you.”

After performing it live for the first time ever on the Opry stage, Langston will release “Back Words” this Friday (2/25). The new track is currently available to pre-save here, and follows Langston’s most recent releas “Try Missing You” es including the heartfelt “Try Missing You” and straight-shooting country rocker “When You’re Lonely.”

Langston is currently on the road for his ALL GOOD OUT HERE TOUR. For a full list of upcoming tour dates and ticket information, visit http://www.jonlangston.com/tour/.
