The first weekend in July is busy for everyone.  But I wanted to make sure I got this information out to all of our readers in the Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Western North Carolina area.  We have a great concert coming to our area on Friday night.

Tennessee State Representative Scotty Campbell is bringing Darryl Worley and Ty Herndon to Mountain City, Tenn., on Friday, July 1. The show will be held at Heritage Hall, 211 N Church St, Mountain City, Tenn.

This is an acoustic concert, in a very intimate setting.  Audience members will enjoy an up-close personal show in a venue with audience seating for less than 500.

His inaugural album landed three Top 20 titles – “When You Need My Love,” “A Good Day To Run” and “Second Wind” – and his second album’s namesake, “I Miss My Friend,” brought his first #1 single.

Worley has clearly made a difference in his neighborhood, using his celebrity to improve the lives of the people around him. Ty Herndon is a Grammy-nominated and Dove award-winning recording artist. Herndon made his chart debut in 1995 with “What Mattered Most,” which became his first No. 1 song and garnered a Song of the Year award (Music Row Magazine).  It was also the title track to his debut album, which debuted on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and had the biggest first-week shipment in the history of Epic Records’ Nashville.

Between 1995 and 2002, Herndon charted 17 singles, including his three No.1s and numerous top 10 hits, such as “I Want My Goodbye Back,” “Loved Too Much,” “A Man Holding On,” and “Hands of a Working Man.” He topped the charts in 1996 with the single “Living in a Moment” and again in 1998 with “It Must Be Love.”
