Over the years Holly Tucker has earned several titles and a stronghold in her native Texas music scene with her dynamic yet proficient vocal prowess. Tucker has a knack for releasing music that perfectly coincides with the changing of the seasons; her February single “Rose In The Red Dirt” was proof of that with its brisk declaration of survival.  On July 1st Tucker will release her new single “Breakin’ In These Boots,” once again matching the season and echoing what we all are thinking these days; that sometimes you just have to ditch the daily grind and kick up your damn heels. “Breakin’ In These Boots” is a fun, young, honky-tonkin’ boot-scooter, a perfect play for any dance hall, beer joint or road trip.  This is the first single off Tucker’s forthcoming sequel of the album “You’re Gonna Know My Name.”

“‘Breakin’ In These Boots’ was co-written about 7 or 8 years ago between myself, Jenee Fleenor, and Buddy Owens. I really wanted something upbeat and super fun to dance to in a dancehall, something true country. So, we started just telling a story about someone who’s a little tired of the city and the monotonous work week, and wants to get out to a country dance hall ASAP to scoot a boot! We’ve all been there.

Holly Tucker was 7 years old when she stepped on stage for the very first time, 14 when she recorded her first full length CD, 17 when she recorded her second full length CD, and she was 20 years old when she grabbed American’s attention with a 4-chair-turn on Season 4 of NBC TV’s hit show, The Voice.  Holly was one of only seven vocalists that season to receive the 4-chair honor with coach Blake Shelton proclaiming her, “the most effortless, accurate, and powerful voice.” If she had stopped right there and never sang another note, her accomplishments and experiences in music would be the envy of most inspiring artists, but Holly Tucker was only just getting started.

Her 2016 acclaimed album “Steel” yielded three hit singles on the Texas Regional Radio Chart.  The first single “You’re In Texas” hit the Top 30 making a grand entrance for the powerhouse crooner while also clinching Song of the Year and Video of the Year at the Texas Radio Awards.  The success of “Steel” traveled much farther than the radio airwaves though putting her literally on the map with a tour alongside revered artists including Tracy Byrd, Willie Nelson, Restless Heart, Linda Davis, Clint Black, Koe Wetzel, Hudson Moore, and others. By the time Holly was ready to record and release her next project in 2019, she was Texas Music Association’s reigning “Female Vocalist of the Year” for three years running. In 2019 came the release of Part 1 of “You’re Gonna Know My Name” with an impressive list of six single releases including “Rhythm of You,” her most successful single to date topping out at #6. The album’s sequel is slated for release in the fall of 2022 and will feature 4 new never-before-heard songs.
