Country Artist/Songwriter Matt Jordan releases his new single “One More Round,” available now on all streaming platforms. Jordan explains the story behind-the-song that he co-wrote with Justin Dukes and Jarret Hartness about running into the one that got away.

“This is a really fun, upbeat and rocking song,” said Matt Jordan. “It’s an idea I’ve had for a long time and I was able to get it across the finish line once I brought in my buddies (co-writers) Justin and Jarrett. I write a lot about the one that got away or lost love. This song is about the one that got away that comes back into town for a weekend and the character in the song is hoping they can pick back up where they left off…. for one more round.”

The single showcases the rising star’s gritty vocals and country/rock influences, drawing comparisons to the likes of artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Eric Church, while showcasing his artistry as a songwriter. With his unique Heartland Rock meets Country sound, Matt Jordan is carving out his own path in today’s music scene.

Jordan’s most recent single, “Your Town“ released in July 2022 to critical acclaim (Taste of Country / CMT) and is a storyline continuation of his fan-favorite single “Cold in California” (Jan/2021). This single is on the heels of his successful releases of “Boulder,” “The Good Fight” and “Heart of the Heartland”. His singles have made it on various playlists like Spotify’s Country Rocks, New Music Nashville, Next From Nashville, New Music Friday: Country and Fresh Finds: Country to name a few.

Matt Jordan had the privilege of working with Grammy-Award nominated producer, Sal Oliveri (P!nk, Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow) on his last project and on his upcoming EP that is slated to release this fall.

About Matt Jordan:  With his unique gritty sound of Heartland Rock meets Country, Matt Jordan is carving out his own path in today’s music scene. Originally from St. Louis, MO, this singer / songwriter splits time between his hometown and Nashville, TN.
