Steph Maguire’s new single “Cowboy” is available now on all streaming and download services. The new track reintroduces Rebel’s Fox frontwoman Maguire to the rock and country genres and serves as a daring step forward for the singer.

“Cowboy” is an upbeat Southern rock song that showcases the strength it takes to leave a relationship. Bringing together an upbeat melody, powerful lyrics, and stunning vocals, the song truly gets the ball rolling when it comes to the idea of moving on. The song covers several different topics, each of which can be turned back into Maguire’s drive for writing the song: empowerment, independence, and inner strength. With Steph Maguire’s personal relation to the song, the message within its lyrics holds even more importance when it comes to these concepts.

“So far, I’ve always written from real experiences, sometimes through the perspective of someone else, but I felt them all in my own soul first. I spent a lot of time being too shy to share my original music; in this case with this single, I didn’t want to start drama. I was living in a small town, but the truth is the truth and I’m done hiding my gifts and pain when it can help me and others relate to one another through common experiences,” Maguire exclusively shared with Cowgirl Magazine.

Maguire is looking forward to wrapping up 2022 with live shows in the Nashville region and is set to embark on a 2023 tour as well as the release of a full-length album.

Steph Maguire is a powerhouse front woman with rock n’ roll Stevie Nicks vibes native from Syracuse, New York. The artist also always had a vision of the raw, authentic country-rock music she wants to make after so long suppressing her vision. Formerly known as Rebel’s Fox, Steph spent her formative years never thinking music was a viable career- but after years of hearing melodies in her head and working in various unrelated fields, Maguire took the plunge. Formed in 2019, Rebel’s Fox was the jumping-off point for the Carolina-born alt-country/ rock band. After gaining traction in the Raleigh, North Carolina music sphere in its infancy, the various iterations of the group always had one mainstay: Maguire herself. Writing from her own experiences in heartbreak, tenacity, struggle and triumph and backed by a high caliber band, together they put on a show full of energy that can be felt from the door. Maguire self-professes “I have lived a strange life.  I spent many years working as an EMS/Firefighter and here I am today living my music career dream.”

Steph is well-known in the Nashville region, playing out at least four times a week at famous venues including Redneck Riviera, Margaritaville Hotel, The Valentine, Second Fiddle, Famous, and more. On tour, she has played The Lincoln Theater and The Pour House (Raleigh, NC), as well as Buck’s (Nebraska). Maguire has played Campout Festival (Missouri), and The Middle of Nowhere Farm Party (Georgia). Additionally, she has opened for Trey Lewis, Alex Williams, Josh Morningstar, Billy Don Burns, and The Comancheros, among many others.
