LISTEN TO “STRAWBERRY WINE AND A CHEAP SIX PACK” | HERE “I really wanted to write something like “Strawberry Wine and A Cheap Six Pack” to grab a nostalgic feeling on a lyrical and musical level,” said Denning. “When I was growing up and a teenager, I was listening to certain kind of music from an era that I really wanted to capture on this song. The song has a mid-2000s country music vibe and that’s something I’ve been chasing for a long time. I feel like this song was the first I’ve written that definitely hits that same feeling and energy of the music of my youth.” Added Denning, “I’m so excited for this song to be out, because it’s just the first of a lot of music to come. The songs I’ve recorded this year are all very unique and very different, and they stand out from music that I’ve recorded in the past.” Denning will make his 16th appearance at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday, March 28. Not only is he touring throughout the spring and summer, but Denning is also currently in the studio working on new music. In addition to the new release, Denning has a cut on Morgan Wallen’s new album called, “Devil Don’t Know,” which he co-wrote with Jared Mullins and Ben Stennis.
