The Wounded Blue Nationwide Fundraiser Kicks Off At AdoptACop.com

STILL PLAYIN’ POSSUM: MUSIC & MEMORIES OF GEORGE JONES will be held in the Von Braun Center (VBC) Propst Arena on Tuesday, April 25. Nancy Jones, in partnership with The Wounded Blue, Concerts 4 A Cause, VBC, and 93.3 NASH ICON, along with the artists performing at the show are raising money for Huntsville Police Department Officers Garrett Crumby and Albert Morin.

“We are honored to be part of country music’s tribute to the legendary George Jones, and to share in the honoring of our wounded heroes,” said Lt. Randy Sutton, founder of The Wounded Blue. “In just two years, more than 120,000 law enforcement officers have been wounded in the line of duty. It is our life’s goal to ensure that every one of them hears from us and knows that they are never forgotten, never alone. We are grateful to the country music family for honoring the brave service of America’s officers.”

Both officers were shot in the line of duty after responding to a call on Tuesday, March 28. Officer Garrett Crumby, 36, tragically passed away from his injuries. Officer Albert Morin, 34, was recently taken off of ventilator support and is still recovering in a Huntsville Hospital.

“I hate to hear that anyone gets shot, let alone a police officer in the line of duty,” says Nancy Jones. “I have been blessed to travel this great nation with George and everywhere we went, we were protected by the great men and women in blue. This is the least that I could do for these families. This is a tragic situation and I hope that everyone does their part to help these officers’ families.”

Now through Monday, April 24, signed guitars from an artist of the buyer’s choice can be purchased through adoptacop.com or Concerts4ACause.org with the proceeds directly benefitting the two officers. To purchase an autographed guitar, visit adoptacop.com or concerts4acause.org or call 93.3 NASH ICON at (844) 301-4933.

Additionally, Mrs. Jones has the last pair of FRONT ROW tickets to the STILL PLAYIN’ POSSUM show and is auctioning them off to the highest bidder in support of the officers. This Friday, April 14, tune in to 93.3 NASH ICON between 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for live auction updates and the last chance to buy front-row seats to the show!

To purchase a signed guitar (now through Monday, April 24) or for the ticket auction (Friday, April 14) call 93.3 NASH ICON at (844) 301-4933 or visit adoptacop.com or concerts4acause.org.

Proceeds from all guitars sold, combined with the Front Row Ticket Auction will directly benefit Officer Morin and the family of Officer Crumby.
