Celebrated legendary singer, songwriter, actor, and author music icon Pat Boone has released his new Country single, a cover of the late great Red Foley’s classic hit “Chattanoogie Shoeshine Boy.” The track is now available for streaming on all major platforms here.

Originally featured on his Dot Records album debut titled Howdy! in 1956, Boone revisited the timeless charm of “Chattanoogie Shoeshine Boy” to bring a taste of classic Country music to his fans and a new generation of listeners.

The song, first recorded and released by Foley in 1949 and in February of 1950 became a #1 on the Country chart, has been recorded by various artists over the years, including Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Faron Young. Now, following in the footsteps of his father-in-law, Boone showcases his passion for preserving his father-in-law’s musical heritage with his recording of the classic hit.

Boone expressed his excitement in covering the track, saying “I’m truly moved to pay tribute to Daddy Red (Foley) with my recording of ‘Chattanoogie Shoeshine Boy.’ This song holds a special place in my heart, and I hope to bring back cherished memories while introducing it to a new generation of listeners.”

Following the successful release of his song “Grits,” which features an impressive lineup of country music stars such as Ray Stevens, The Gatlin Brothers, Lorrie Morgan, Deborah Allen, and Dean Miller, Boone is set to delight fans once again with this nostalgic gem. Both songs will be featured on Boone’s highly awaited album, Country Jubilee, promising to be a celebration of Country music’s rich history and showcasing Boone’s enduring talent as an iconic artist in the genre. The official music video for “Grits” can be seen here.

Boone runs his own record company, The Gold Label, designed for legendary artists with certifiable talent, all with million-selling gold records to their credit. Debby Boone, Glen Campbell, Jack Jones, Cleo Laine, Patti Page, Sha Na Na, The Ventures, Roger Williams, and others (as well as Boone himself) all lived up to the Founder’s Maxim. More than 30 Gold Label albums have been released to date, and the label is now 20 years old.

Pat Boone is a legendary American singer, songwriter, actor, author, and television personality who rose to fame in the 1950s, after winning TV’s first national talent contest, with his smooth, wholesome style of music.
