“Dugger Band’s new single ‘Take Me Back’ reminds folks of past relationships; the good times and memories created in life whether they were good or bad. It allows us to reflect on life in general and reminisce about the good old days – to look forward to a fresh new start and make each and every day count.” Brandon Morrell, Founder/Host, The Backstage Pass (Powered by The Sports Guys Podcast)

“I gotta tell you, I really love this song! Seth and Jordan are to be congratulated! Very well written, produced, and performed. I’m not surprised that Bill Diluigi had a hand in it. He’s also a great writer. I love songs with a double-meaning hook. This song leads you in one direction and then slams you with the true meaning. It’s a song I want to hear time and time again – an immediate add to my playlist.” – Dave Lenahan, Founder/Host, Songwriter Connection Podcast

Spirited country duo, Dugger Band is excited to announce the digital release of their catchy new single, “Take Me Back.” Co-written with Nashville tunesmith Bill DiLuigi and co-produced by accomplished session/touring musician, songwriter, and record producer, Paul David (CeCe Winans, Andre Crouch, Jonny Lang, and Sister Sledge),
the song was featured on Radio SoBro’s NuMu Friday upon release. Listen HERE.

The duo, comprised of brothers Jordan and Seth Dugger, simultaneously released their corresponding new music video which can be found on Vevo and will soon be available on their YouTube Channel. It was filmed in Knoxville, not too far from the Dugger’s hometown of Greeneville, and was produced and directed by Matthew Hibbing, Haven Media. Watch it HERE.

“Take Me Back” is a post-break-up anthem – it is highly relatable. The tune which is contemporary yet reminiscent of the popular 90s country sound, is singable and captivating boasting an unforgettable melody, infectious groove, smokin’ guitars, stellar vocals, and the magical “blood” harmonies which will have listeners crankin’ up the volume and singin’ along. “Take Me Back” takes listeners down memory lane reminiscing about the good times shared in a relationship gone wrong, and wanting to give love another try…“When writing this song, we had the idea for the hook, ‘Take Me Back,’ reflects Jordan. “First, talking about time and going back in your mind to all the good memories you had from a relationship in the past. Then, at the end of the chorus, the hook has a double meaning for the other person to take you back in the relationship itself. I love the picture it paints both by reminiscing about the good times, and hoping for a fresh start at the same time.”

“…Take me back
To when our love was younger
Hearts ran wild and we felt the thunder
Lighting just don’t strike twice like that
Take me back
To before I let ya leave
And I messed up what was meant to be
I didn’t even realize what I had
Don’t say you can’t
Don’t say it’s too late
Take me back…”

“Take Me Back” is off the album Turnin’ Up The Night, a physical collection of eight songs, all of which the brothers wrote or co-wrote, that was released in July. The Duggers are now digitally releasing the singles one at a time. Record Producer, Paul David comments, “This song is special and Dugger Band is pretty rad overall. I encourage you to buy or stream the whole album. My seven-year-old is a HUGE Dugger Band fan, so I’ve listened to the record hundreds of times on the ride… mostly on fishing trips… and it’s growing on me. Especially, “Turnin The Night Up,” and “Barn Burner” I defy you to listen to those songs and not have a good time! So yeah, we made a great record, and it’s selling really well.”

Dugger Band is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their new Christmas single. They will also be doing a 10th-anniversary re-release of their Christmas album, Sleigh Ride, which is a collection of seven songs, some classics, and some originals, and will include the addition of their new single. They have a Christmas show scheduled for November 3rd, 7:30 PM at Capitol Theatre of Greeneville. You can find additional details and purchase tickets HERE.

ABOUT DUGGER BAND:
Dugger Band is a spirited and electrifying country duo fronted by brothers Jordan and Seth Dugger. Their music is reminiscent of the popular 90s sound with the perfect blend of contemporary edge creating a unique style of their own. They draw from diverse musicial influences that include everyone from Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, and Ricky Skaggs to Brad Paisley, Justin Timberlake, and Michael Jackson.

Hailing from Greeneville, Tennessee, an hour northeast of Knoxville at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains, creates the perfect foundation for the boys – with neighboring birthplaces of musical icons Dolly Parton and Kenny Chesney. The sons of a pastor, Jordan and Seth, grew up in a musical family where fiddles, mandolins, guitars, and family harmony were at the forefront of all gatherings. Their love and appreciation for music began at a very early age. The boy’s first performances were on the kitchen floor when they would drag out their parent’s pots and pans to create their makeshift drum set. Shortly after, they began their singing career performing worship songs at their parent’s church. They learned from their parents – their father was in southern gospel music with his family long before the boys were born so it’s in their blood. The Tennessee natives sang on their first record with their parents and before they knew it, they were doing more recordings and touring together as The David Dugger Family. This ultimately led them to realize their calling. During their teenage years, they recognized their love for country music and began branching out as a duo performing at local fairs, festivals, and other events. “We fell in love with country records when I was 12 and Jordan was 15. I learned fiddle and Jordan learned acoustic guitar from records we liked, and it just went from there,” Seth adds. They credit Dolly Parton, bluegrass, mountain, and southern gospel music in addition to modern Country music for influencing their music today.

The brothers attended the University of Tennessee, Jordan majoring in Architecture and Seth in Finance with a concentration in entrepreneurship. While in college and excelling in the classroom, Jordan and Seth were hitting the road playing gigs four nights a week and jumped into music full- time following graduation.

Dugger Band made its debut in the country music format with, FLY in November 2014 and as they say, the rest is history. Jordan and Seth both sing lead, play multiple instruments, write their own songs, and produce their own records. Their live shows keep the audience engaged throughout the entire performance – they will make you laugh until you cry and provide you with a night you won’t forget. The Duggers are in high demand, performing more than 250 live shows a year with a strong national following. They perform at fairs, festivals, promote their own ticketed events, have had a residency at MGM in Las Vegas, and have graced the stage at notable venues including Wildhorse Saloon, Ole Red, Dollywood, Loretta’s Last Call, Loser’s Las Vegas, Bristol Motor Speedway, Gaylord Texan Resort Hotel & Convention Center.

Over the past nine years, Dugger Band has released three albums; Fly (2014), East Tennessee Son (2018), and Greek To Me (2020) and a Christmas album, Sleigh Ride (2013). Their sound is energetic and high-velocity that is overlaid by family harmony and back porch down-home vibes. The brothers have enjoyed success on country radio nationally, released several official music videos, and continue writing and recording new music with Music City’s top songwriters and producers. They have shared the stage with iconic entertainers including Charlie Daniels, Charlie McCoy, Craig Morgan, John Rich, Josh Turner, Mandy Barnett, and Rodney Atkins.

The Dugger brothers are passionate about music but they are equally as passionate about helping others and giving back to their community through the power of music, Jordan and Seth are the real deal and want to make a difference in the lives of others with their music… one song at a time
