The Heartland Network is getting in the holiday spirit, launching its 12 Days of Christmas programming on December 14. Running through December 25, the event will feature holiday episodes of classic and modern shows, classic country music specials and new modern specials added to the network’s lineup.

The Heartland Network’s classic country programming will get the festivities rolling with holiday episodes of shows like Music City Tonight, which will feature guest stars like Charlie Daniels, Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, Larry Stewart, Linda Davis, Alan Jackson and more, culminating with a special Christmas Night episode with guest co-host Ricky Skaggs and performances by Skaggs, The Whites and Skaggs’ children. Holiday episodes of Crook & Chase will see holiday performances from guests including Joe Diffie, Exile and Emmylou Harris while Celebrity Kitchen will bring in Trisha Yearwood for a two-part special episode airing on December 22 and Christmas Day.A number of classic specials will also air including Christmas Time with Eddy Arnold starring Eddy Arnold, Faith Hill, and LeAnn Rimes, The Statler Brothers Show Christmas Special featuring The Statler Brothers and special guests Barbara Mandrell, John Berry and Crystal Gayle, The Statler Brothers’ Christmas Present featuring Merle Haggard, Crystal Gayle and Roger Miller and the film A Norman Rockwell Christmas. The network will continue the feel-good moments with Holiday Notes from Home, a concert recorded at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville and hosted by Lorraine Crook and Charlie Chase with guest artists Aaron Neville, Take 6, Lonestar and 60 Air Force musicians from the Band of the Air Force Reserve and the Air Force Strings ensemble.

Modern shows like Country Fix, CountryLine TV and Small Town Big Deal will receive holiday-themed episodes, along with Music City Show episodes with Linda Davis and Restless Heart. There will also be some new modern specials including Christmas Caroler Challenge, which features four episodes of competition and performance groups facing off to be crowned the ultimate carolers, A Stetson Mansion Christmas, which will bring viewers inside John B. Stetson’s Florida mansion, and the Appalachia Sessions Christmas Special.

As an extra dose of festive cheer, several blocks of Country Music Rewind and Country Music Today that fall during the 12 Days will feature holiday-only videos.
