The 2025 Appalachian Fair is more than fun rides, great fair food, and awesome petting zoo…It has music! Lots of music. Some of the entertainment at the fair often includes local bands, singers, dancers, and other acts of the Museum Stage. We will know more about that when their fliers are released. But today, we do know about our Main State headliners for this year.
The Fair will be held Aug. 18-23 at the fairgrounds, 100 Lakeview Street, Johnson City, TN. A one day admission is just $10, and that admission price not only gets you into the fair, but to the concerts as well. If you prefer reserved seating, there are several choices hits year. Premium seats are $25, Prime seats are $20, and Reserved seats are 15.
Special prices are also being offered, a 6-day fair entrance ticket is $50 per person. And 3-day passes are being offered for $25. To check out all the special prices and to view a seating chart for the concerts, visit the fair website.
In addition to the great entertainment, you won’t want to miss a chance to visit with the WXBQ Rabbit and the on-air personalities who have a booth in one of the exhibit buildings, as well as every afternoon reporting live from the fairgrounds. Drop by the main stage and give them all a big hello.

This will be the first time we’ve had Craig Campbell at our local fair. We are loving his new single “Missing You”, and we have missed his disappearance from country radio for a while. He’s an awesome artist and musician. So anxious for that one. It’s been close to 20 years since we had Lee Greenwood. He always puts on a great show. Crowder has a huge following. He always takes us to church. His songs his stories, everything about him is more than worth the trip to the fair that night. Get those tickets early. Crowder always sells out the reserved section. Shenandoah has been with us before, and that is one group I am really looking forward to seeing again. Not just a great musical group, but a truly awesome group on men. Zach Top and Dillon Carmichael are first timers for me. So definitely looking forward to those as well.
If you need more information about the fair, please visit the website, or give them a call at (423) 477-3211. Remember ALL Tickets go on sale on June 25.
See you at the fair!
