While many country music fans I’ve talked to still aren’t happy about the collaborations that seem to be taking over so many awards shows, you can’t complain about the nominees and the winners. Country music fans still seem to think that Earth, Wind & Fire (as good as they are), and Jason Derulo really need to stay in their own genre’ I’m not sure I understand the need for collaborations, but it seems to be what the industry wants these days.
Congratulations to Keith Urban, who walked off with four of the nine awards given out last night. Carrie Underwood picked up two, one of which was her collaboration video with Keith Urban for The Fighter. And, we congratulate Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, LIttle Big Town and Lauren Alaina who each got one award.
