Race fans, from all over the country, are making their way to Bristol, Tenn., for a week of racing activities at Bristol Motor Speedway. For race fans, who have started their annual week-long campout in Bristol, the week’s activities are already underway.
Race Week kicked off yesterday with the Speedway World Souvenir Store open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. That schedule will continue throughout the week. Also yesterday the Medallion Capmground, Dragstrip Campground and Landing Campgrounds all opened.
Tuesday evening at 4:30 pm., Kingsport Race Party at High Voltage is open for fans. On Tursday (Aug. 14), the Johnson City Race Party – Gearin’ Up for America’s NIght Race will be held at King Commons Park.
Wednesday brings us Bristol Race Party – Red, White and Bristol on State Street in Downtown Bristol. Thursday, Aug. 16 is a full day of activities includign Bristol Family Race Night at the Hospitality Village at BMS.
Joe Nichols headlines the main stage at The Last Great Colosseum while award-winning platinum artist Lee Greenwood brings an authentic patriotic flair to America’s Night Race, the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race on Saturday, Aug. 18.
