A few months behind its original schedule, and in a diffent location than perfiously planned, the 55th ACM Award show was held tonight, and carried live on CBS.  Instead of Las Vegas in April, we got Nashville in September.

The show came to us from The Ryman Auditorium, The Bluebird Cafe, and the Grand Ole Opry.  A lot of performers, a lot of music to enjoy, but seemed so very different with no live audience.  Great medley of their hits from Old Dominion; along with performances by Jimmie Allen; Carrie Underwood paid tribute to a number of the women of country music with covers of songs by Martina McBride, Dolly Parton, Reba, Barbara Mandrell, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn;  Blake Shelton, Jon Pardi, Morgan Wallen, Trisha Yearwood paid honored some of the people in country music who we lost this year; Tim McGraw and so many others performed on tonight’s show.  For country music fans everywhere, there was a lot to enjoy with this show.
