Award-winning songwriter and mega producer Ross Copperman teamed up with GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Cam for the disenchanted “Everything Changes,” available everywhere today via Photo Finish Records.

“I rarely write songs like ‘Everything Changes,’” shares Copperman. “RØMANS, Steph Jones and I tapped into an uncomfortable yet real and honest subject, and Cam’s incredible vocals helped convey the emotions perfectly. It’s a tough realization that people can grow apart just as easily as they grow together, even if it’s for the better in the end.”

Produced by Copperman, the pair takes turns describing the realities of a deteriorating relationship, Cam’s vocals meeting Copperman’s to bring forth the bittersweet consensus:

We’re not innocent people
A thousand sorrys from where we started
I guess we’re just going through phases
Wearing different faces
You know everything changes darling
Don’t, don’t be sad
Cause the time that we had wasn’t meant to last
Everything changes, everything changes

“I loved ‘Everything Changes’ on first listen. Beautifully sad and real,” shares Cam. “Obviously, he’s an incredibly accomplished songwriter, but I’ve been hoping Ross would release more music as an artist since I heard him sing at the C2C songwriters night we did together in London back in 2019. I’m so tickled that I get to be a part of it.”

The release continues Copperman’s return to solo artistry after defining a decade of sound for Music City as a blockbuster songwriter-producer by helping launch careers for some of country music’s biggest stars with songs that have become fan-favorites and staples in their catalogs. His five-song collection, Somewhere There’s A Light On, released last spring, features Copperman’s shimmery Southern pop with back-to-back singalongs. The project was cowritten with collaborators like Ed Sheeran, Ashley Gorley, Emily Weisband, Josh Osborne, Shane McAnally and more.
