I received an email a few days ago, about a new single with a story that will touch the lives of many. The song, “Climb This Mountain”, is to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease. Fifteen different Parkinson’s Organizations from around the world jumped on the release in the last weeks to declare it as a Parkinson’s Awareness Song.
“Climb This Mountain” was written by Nashville based singer/songwriter, Rob Georg. Rob tells us he took an 18 month break from his career. A career includes winning the New Music Award in Hollywood in 2020. In the email, Rob said, “Corona (COVID) and the travel ban did their part, my parents being diagnosed with severe illnesses during the pandemic and me moving into their house to take care of them, the other. After the travel ban had been lifted last November, I made it back to Nashville to record new songs that I wrote in lockdown times. “Climb This Mountain” is about his father’s battle against Parkinson’s Disease.
