TYLER DIAL TAKES THE ROAD TO FORGETTING IN “DAMN, DENVER” MUSIC VIDEO –
AMERICAN SONGWRITER EXCLUSIVE
With mile high-sized feelings about the girl that’s ditching him for one of his favorite cities, Virgin Music’s Country singer-songwriter Tyler Dial hitches a ride on the road to forgetting in the official music video for new rolling release “Damn, Denver.” “Scenic and yearning, the video transports you into the town amid the painful tinge of heartbreak,” further details American Songwriter with the exclusive premiere of the Dustin Haney-directed clip – read here.
“I’ve never had so much fun shooting a video, which is saying a lot – considering how cold it was,” Dial shares with American Songwriter. “When we first landed in Denver, it was a very cloudy day. I was devastated because I sing about Denver’s blue sky in the song’s chorus but when we got downtown, the clouds miraculously parted and it became the perfect day – except for the 45-degree temperatures and record-high winds.”
“Damn, Denver” is finding major media riding the buzz with E! News, Entertainment Tonight, and CMT all spotlighting it on new music release playlists. “You stole her heart with that blue sky / You made her dream up a mile high / You took her breath and set her free / Made her forget about this town and me / How could I compete? / Damn, Denver,” sings Dial in the openhearted confession before admitting, “You’re gonna treat her better / I hope she’s happier out there.” With a set-her-free type of acceptance, “Damn, Denver” was penned by Dial, Melissa Fuller and Andy Skib, who also produced the song.
Quickly stacking a catalog of all-new material after dropping his first single in three years with full-throttle rocker “Runnin’ Downhill” in March, Dial will take recent releases like “Damn, Denver” and “Way Back When” to CMA Fest when he makes his debut on the Spotlight Stage inside Fan Fair X on June 9. KEEP UP WITH TYLER DIAL
ABOUT TYLER DIAL: Tyler Dial grew up in Arizona listening to Country music while wearing “faded Chuck Taylors” instead of cowboy boots; loving the Eagles and The Rolling Stones as much as George Strait and Garth Brooks. Fun, rockin’ cautionary tale “Runnin’ Downhill” marks his new single off Virgin Music. The son of a concert promoter, he learned to play his dad’s guitar while developing a “little bit Country, little bit Rock ‘n’ Roll” sensibility. Cutting his teeth in Austin while studying at The University of Texas, performing for UT bashes and Sixth Street haunts readied Dial for Nashville after college where he first worked at an East Nashville bar and on a pontoon boat/party barge. His debut EP REPAINT in 2018 led to him being named a Rolling Stone “Country Artist You Need to Know” with breakout “Truth in the Way,” and featured on Spotify’s New Boots and Wild Country playlists. With more than 5 MILLION global streams to date, Dial is also represented by Make Wake Artists for management, Top 5 Music Publishing, and agency partner WME.
