LISTEN TO ‘HUMAN’ BY JOSH GALLAGHER HERE
Country artist Josh Gallagher releases new single “Human.” The single is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
Singer-songwriter Josh Gallagher is back with another country hit “Human” which is sure to have you singing along. Unlike some of Josh’s boot-stomping drinking songs like “Bar Fools” and “Them Cans,” this new single shows his more vulnerable side. A song about realizing even our heroes are human just like us, Josh’s storytelling lyrics and gritty voice will pull at your heartstrings.
As a new dad, Josh points out that this song holds a special place in his heart. He explains, “I think there comes a point in everyone’s life when you realize your parents are only people. Whenever that moment comes for my son, I want him to know it’s okay. It’s okay for him to know I’m not perfect. More than that, I want him to know that every time I fall down, he’s the reason I’ll fight to get back up 10 times harder than I would without him.” Landing his first publishing deal with Kobalt Music in 2022, Josh is honing in on his craft and getting ready for his debut album set to release this year. “Human” is an exciting look into Josh’s growth as a writer and a person. This song features honest lyrics, enticing instrumentation, and strong vocals making it a must-listen for this summer.
The song opens with a simple, yet intriguing, lead guitar melody, followed by Josh’s iconic vocals, “When your heroes fall, it’ll shake your faith.” The intensity builds as the drum’s downbeat gets faster and faster leading into an exciting chorus. The final line of the chorus is particularly moving. Josh sings, “Mammas cuss and daddies cry,” a detail that beautifully illustrates the difficult realization that our parents are not perfect. Josh reminds us when we see the people we look up to make mistakes, we must remember that they are only human too.

In 2016, Josh Gallagher forced the world to rear its head on season 11 of NBC’s The Voice, making history as the first country artist coach Adam Levine has ever led to the show’s finale. Since then, Josh Gallagher has proven he can hold his own on stage with Randy Houser, Eric Paslay, Lee Ann Womack, Cole Swindell, and more. In a genre with blurred lines and pandering hits running on borrowed time, Josh Gallagher has established his own distinct voice, showing no sign of fading away quietly.
Gallagher has since celebrated multiple #1 music videos in rotation on CMT’s 12 Pack Countdown, in addition to accumulating millions of views on YouTube. His recent releases have earned placements on a slew of Spotify’s most coveted editorial playlists, including Fresh Finds, Country Rocks, New Music Nashville, and more.
In 2022, Gallagher penned a deal with Kobalt Music — one of the world’s largest publishing companies. Since then, he’s expanded his already massive catalog immensely, fueling a jam-packed 2023 release schedule. The first of many to come this year, Josh Gallagher’s “House Fire” is available now on all platforms, followed by his release today – “Human.”
