The Swon Brothers give in to some guilty pleasures and have some major fun on their latest album, COVERS VOL 1, which is out now, reaching back into the vault and recording some of the favorite songs they perform live and ones that helped influence who they are as artists today.  LISTEN HERE

Both brothers cut their musical teeth growing up on classics from both the rock and country worlds back in Oklahoma. They still maintain a love for those sounds and enjoy performing them today. On COVERS VOL 1 they flow from country favorites like David Allan Coe’s “The Ride,” Ronnie Milsap’s “No Gettin’ Over Me,” and Ray Charles’ southern anthem “Georgia On My Mind,” to 80s rockers REO Speedwagon’s “Roll With The Changes” and Jackson Brown’s “Somebody’s Baby,” with ease, demonstrating their range and genre-bending talent on the track list, which reads like a favorite old jukebox.

The Voice coach and mentor, Blake Shelton, makes a guest appearance courtesy of Warner Music Nashville on the Kenny Rogers classic, “Love Or Something Like It,” and Ricochet member and longtime buddy Heath Wright appears courtesy of Encore Entertainment on “No Gettin’ Over Me.”  The Swons givRTonnie Millsap, Ray Charles, “Already Gone”, The Eagles e the family harmony treatment to an Eagles classic they’ve long performed, “Already Gone,” on the collection as well. For the brothers, strolling down a musical memory lane was the best of times in the studio and they look forward to performing many of the hits for fans out on the road in the coming months.

“This project was nothing but fun,” admits Zach Swon. “They’re not only songs we grew up singing but also timeless rock and country classics that many others will continue to cover long after we are gone. It’s cool to be a small part of making these great songs last forever. Producing the record was a new experience. We’ve produced original music in the past, but in this case, we wanted to make the songs our own, while keeping key original elements that made these songs the hits that they are. Working with Blake and Heath is like working with two older brothers. So much talent! My first country concert ever was Ricochet. Heath was one of the best singers I’ve ever heard and he still is. We’ve learned so much from both of those guys.”

“This project is a God thing, a brother thing, and such a good thing for us to create! Can’t wait for people to hear it,” added Colton Swon.

The duo hosted a release party and rocked the house in The Late Great at the Virgin Hotel Nashville on Friday where they treated guests to a special full band performance of some of their favorites from the new album.  The brothers surprised attendees when they were joined by Heath Wright (Richochet) on the live version of their focus track “No Gettin’ Over Me.” (see photos above)

ABOUT THE SWON BROTHERS
Known for their seamlessly smooth, tight-knit family harmonies, The Swon Brothers were thrilling audiences long before their appearance as finalists on NBC’s The Voice. Honored with the “Rising Star” award by the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and inducted into the “Rhythm and Routes Oklahoma Music Trail,” the Muskogee, OK natives have been charming fans with their incredible sibling harmonies and fun-loving personalities since childhood. Brothers Zach and Colton Swon are not only consummate performers who’ve built a loyal, devoted fan base and strong social media following, but they are also top-notch songwriters and producers who have contributed to many projects in country and beyond, including superstar Blake Shelton’s album BODY LANGUAGE. The duo co-wrote the title track and are also featured performers on the song. They released their own self-produced version of “Body Language” in late 2022. Numerous industry honors and nominations for CMA, ACM, and CMT Music Awards are evidence of just how far the duo has come since their early days rising up through the competition on The Voice, to the polished, confident artists they are today. The Swons’ music has been featured on numerous digital streaming platforms and playlists, including Spotify Editorial Playlists: New Boots, Breakout Country, Next From Nashville, New Country, New Music Nashville, Country Sunrise, and more. In-demand performers, The Swon Brothers have toured as part of Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller Tour and Brad Paisley’s Country Nation World Tour, as well as headlining their own cross-country shows, and raised more than $72k in funding and 3k pounds of non-perishable food at their 10th Annual Swon Brothers’ Concert to Benefit The Salvation Army in their hometown.
