Named “Country’s Hottest Rising Star” by PEOPLE Magazine, Megan Moroney is having a moment as she takes over the TV next Wednesday, November 8. With a day full of firsts leading into “The 57th Annual CMA Awards,” the double nominee will make her debut on ABC’s Good Morning America, with breakout PLATINUM-certified, #1 single “Tennessee Orange” and current chart-chaser “I’m Not Pretty.” Adding to the milestone day, she’ll also bring her fan-favorite “Girl in the Mirror” to GMA3: What You Need to Know.

Vying for Song of the Year for co-writing “Tennessee Orange” and New Artist of the Year, Moroney will give her premiere CMA Awards performance with Old Dominion for their collaboration, “Can’t Break Up Now.” Co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, the show will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 8 at 8/7c on ABC.

Since the release of her wildly popular debut album LUCKY (Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records), on which she co-wrote every song, Moroney has skyrocketed to stardom. The project landed on Rolling Stone’sThe Best Albums of 2023 So Far” and climbed to #38 on the Billboard 200. Most recently, the “emo cowgirl” earned recognition as a 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) finalist for Top Country Female Artist (alongside Taylor Swift and Lainey Wilson). Tune in Sunday, November 19 via @BBMAs, @billboard and bbmas.watch. She was also spotlighted in an Access Hollywood segment and profiled in Associated Press affirming “…Megan Moroney says she writes sad songs for sad people. It’s making her a star.”

Adding to her LUCKY era, LUCKY (DELUXE EDITION) is out now and features three brand-new songs, including guest spots from fellow Nashville-based singer-songwriters Kameron Marlowe and Mackenzie Carpenter. In addition, the highly awaited vinyl edition of LUCKY released today — go here to buy now.

Seen across several GRAMMY predictions lists as a potential nominee, including HITS Grammy Chew: Best New Artist, Billboard, Music Times, and more, she performed last month at The GRAMMY Museum® in Los Angeles as part of its illustrious SPOTLIGHT series. Held at the museum’s Clive Davis Theater, the SOLD-OUT event featured an intimate conversation (moderated by her producer Kristian Bush) about Moroney’s music, creative process, and more. The discussion then opened to an audience Q&A.

Meanwhile Moroney’s SOLD-OUT THE LUCKY TOUR is proving why she is an in-demand headliner, with stops at major cities and iconic venues coast-to-coast, including New York City (Bowery Ballroom), Chicago (Joe’s on Weed St.), Los Angeles (Troubadour), and New Braunfels, TX (Gruene Hall). ABOUT MEGAN MORONEY:
Country newcomer with massive staying power, Megan Moroney is strong-minded, sensitive, and fiercely devoted to speaking her truth. As a teenager in Georgia, she first honed her gorgeously gritty vocal style by singing covers with her dad and brother, then took up guitar at age 16. Although she started off studying accounting at the University of Georgia, Moroney’s entire trajectory changed after opening for Chase Rice at the famed Georgia Theatre her freshman year — a turn of events that found her penning her first-ever original song and discovering the dazzling specificity and down-to-earth honesty that now define her music. In July 2022 she offered a first glimpse at the full-force personality of her songwriting with the Pistol Made of Roses EP, inspiring CMT to praise her as a “musical risk taker with powerhouse pipes.” As her career gained unstoppable momentum, she next delivered her breakout single “Tennessee Orange”: an immediate smash that soon led to her signing with Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records, in addition to notching her first No. 1 at Country radio and earning RIAA PLATINUM certification. Named a “2023 Artist to Watch” by the likes of Amazon Music, Pandora, and Spotify, as well as an iHeart “On The Verge” Artist and one of CMT’s Next Women of Country for 2023, Moroney released her debut album LUCKY in May and quickly drew major acclaim for the lived-in intimacy, fearless truth-telling, electrifying impact of her songwriting. With her avalanche of accolades including winning BREAKTHROUGH FEMALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR at the CMT Music Awards, she made her debut appearance on NBC’s TODAY and kicked off her first headline run with the sold-out PISTOL MADE OF ROSES TOUR. After opening for Country legends Brooks & Dunn this summer, Moroney has embarked on her sold-out THE LUCKY TOUR for this fall bringing her magnetic live show to iconic venues across the U.S. — all while continuing a meteoric rise that now includes 638 MILLION+ total global streams to date
