Tenacious country music newcomer and Illinois native Annie Vander is sharing a lighthearted and relatable brand-new music video for her chart-topping radio single He Himself & Him (click HERE to watch). The song is also available on all digital streaming platforms. The video made its premiere on Kendall County Now/Record Newspapers, Annie’s hometown paper. You can read the feature HERE.

Set against a backdrop of open fields as well as scenes taking place in the famous Persimmon Room at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club in Yorkville, IL, this video features Annie seeing first-hand what women may go through on a date. “I think we have all experienced a bad date or 20 at some point in life,” laughs Annie, “and this is exactly what that song is about.” This is a fun and sassy take on an everyday dating dilemma.

“Shooting the music video in my hometown was super important,” says Annie. “There are so many wonderful people in the Yorkville community that have been so supportive of my music journey. I feel so grateful and excited to incorporate them in this video.” Many of the people who played the different characters in the video are friends, their kids, musicians from the open mic nights that Annie holds every month, and general fans in the hometown community. Annie continued the hometown feel by working with Barry and Brianne Tegal from Imagination Designers, a local video company who produced and directed. “Imagination Designers was a complete dream to work with. I had an amazing time filming this and my heart is so full knowing so many people in my life as friends are involved and featured in this video!”

This song, which was written by respected Nashville songwriters Cece Dubois and David Norris, is continuing to get great traction at country radio and officially charting on the Music Row chart. This song became the #1 most streamed song and was in the Top 5 of the most downloaded on PlayMPE, coming in right after Megan Moroney. With a continued radio tour in support of the song and endless touring, Annie has played coffee shops, private shows, as well as numerous fairs and festivals including CMA Music Festival and Plymouth Fall Falooza where she was on the bill with award-winning country artist John Michael Montgomery.
