CLIMBING THE COUNTRY RADIO CHARTS WITH LEAD SINGLE
FEATURED ON FROM WHERE I’M SIPPIN’ EP
_
SURPRISE PERFORMANCE WITH RED STREET RECORDS
CEO/RASCAL FLATTS’ JAY DEMARCUS
Red Street Records/Voyager Records MULTI-PLATINUM artist Chris Lane shows us a new kind of heartbreak in his music video for chart-climbing single, “Find Another Bar.” Exclusively premiering yesterday (11/16) across CMT, CMT.com, and CMT Music, plus on Paramount’s Times Square billboard, the clip can now be seen across all music video platforms, watch here.
Capturing what it feels like to lose love… and then lose your favorite place to hang, the Dustin Haney directed video illustrates just that. Lane’s third-person point of view details the lyrics he co-wrote with Josh Thompson and Justin Ebach and follows the brokenhearted whose ex shows up at their local bar with a new flame, forever ruining his favorite watering hole.
“I love how this video follows the former couple, and you can really feel their emotions through the lyrics,” shared Lane with CMT.com. “I hope that fans can see situations like this happen to all of us regardless of what size town or city we live in.”
“Find Another Bar” is the lead single from Lane’s brand-new EP, From Where I’m Sippin’. Featuring five new fresh-Country concoctions – four of which were co-written by the hitmaker himself – the EP was produced by Derek Wells with additional production from Michael Lotten and marks another step forward for a top-shelf creator. Released October 20, it finds Lane refining his mix of energy and emotion, fusing gratitude, good times and more with ear-catching melodies, effortless charm and clever wordplay. Billboard lauded Lane’s musical ability, “veering slightly from hip-hop infused, polished pop-country to a sound with a ragged rock edge, while still residing squarely in his musical wheelhouse.”
Along with “Find Another Bar,” themes range from unexpected romantic perfection (“Mistake”) – watch the visualizer featuring his wife Lauren here – and bittersweet heartbreak (“Way to Go Girl”), to a flirtatious gamble with high stakes (“Betcha”) and the good-life gratitude driving Lane’s open-hearted title track (“From Where I’m Sippin’”). Listen to the EP here.
In touring news, just on Wednesday night (11/15) Red Street Records CEO and Rascal Flatts member Jay DeMarcus surprised Lane, and fans, on stage at the “Find Another Bar” singer’s Grizzly Rose show in Denver, CO. They performed “Bless The Broken Road” together and DeMarcus also treated the packed crowd to “Life is a Highway.” Check out the photos below.
