Americana Artist Malachi Jaggers drops an acoustic version of his critically-acclaimed single Too Soon. Too Soon-Acoustic Version as well as the original version is available to stream everywhere digitally (Spotify, Apple Music, etc).
In its studio form, the up-beat track resembles a Motown sound while showcasing a truthful spirit of feeling confused and coming to a place of accepting that feeling. But by stripping away the production and musical decoration, this overall bluegrass style tune showcases Malachi’s warmth and familiar sound coupled with new instruments including acoustic bass, fiddle and shaker. This song takes on a heightened sense of a newly-intimate listening experience for his fans.
The official music video made its premiere last month on music podcast & streaming site Deans of Nashville. You can view the official video HERE. “I cannot believe the overwhelming response we are getting on this song, so I found it fitting to drop an acoustic version for the fans,” says Malachi. “They have supported this song immensely and it’s amazing to see the feedback we’re getting on stage and off.”
In his music, which is best described as an eclectic blend of Americana, Country, Folk, and Bluegrass, Malachi aims to invoke nostalgic feelings of historic family ties, railroads, and heartland America into what he calls “Heartland Rock.” Too Soon mixes the two ideas of nostalgia and modernism as its melody takes you on a journey to the past while its lyrics resonate with the current times. Written by Malachi and Americana singer/songwriter and long-time friend Scott Greeson, Too Soon as well as the acoustic version was self-produced by Jaggers and was born out of the idea of how social media and the internet have enabled people to say things to others that they never would say in person.
“There are a lot of angry words being spoken and written; it is spilling out over into our society,” says Malachi. “We make a lot of assumptions about others based on one piece of information and just like that, we have filled in all the blanks about them without knowing them. Why waste our time, breath, energy, or thoughts on what we cannot control? The only thing that matters, in the end, is being kind, real, and authentic with communication.”
As Malachi wraps up a successful year with a few more December tour dates, Malachi is already booking into 2024 with dates confirmed in Florida and Indiana. For more information on Malachi Jaggers, visit his website as well as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok, and YouTube.
