We have since received a press release about these two songs, and we wanted to share that as well. We appreciate the work the public relations people to, and the country music news they send our way.]

[Press Release] As has become an annual tradition, singer JD Shelburne once again delivers a fresh take on a few holiday favorites, dropping his version of Christmas classics “Please Come Home for Christmas” and “Let It Snow” – both available today. The Taylorsville, Kentucky native gave fans an early listen of both tunes – with the ambling “Let It Snow” premiering yesterday (11/30) with All Country News and blues-based ballad “Please Come Home for Christmas” also premiering yesterday with Country Evolution.

“I’ve sung this song for so many years,” Shelbure told All Country News of “Let It Snow.” “It’s always on every top ten list of classic Christmas songs, and it’s one that everyone knows the words to. I love songs that are easy singalongs… I just knew this one had to be on a Christmas album in the future. I had a fun time cutting this one in the studio. It gets me straight in the holiday spirit every time!”

“I have always loved ‘Please Come Home for Christmas,’ made famous by The Eagles, and it fit my voice so well when I went in to record,” Shelburne told Country Evolution. “It always seemed this song was one of the most popular songs played on radio every year, and it became one of my early holiday favorites as a child.”

In July, Shelburne released his sixth studio album, Neon Hallelujah. Co-produced by Shelburne with Mike Proctor, Bart Bush, and Maks Gabriel, the 14-track project features previously released tunes like title track “Neon Hallelujah,” upbeat, devil-may-care “That Devil In Me,” and Shelburne’s rendition of classic hymn “Amazing Grace” (featuring 3x GRAMMY® Award-winning quartet The Oak Ridge Boys), as well as several new songs like the drifty, mid-tempo album opener “Cars & Trucks,” which harbors a deeper “where are we all headed in life” context, celebratory “Raise One Up,” and anthemic summer tune “Let Love Down.”

The release was met with praise from several notable country acts – 7x GRAMMY® Award Winner and Country Music Hall of Fame Member Randy Travis mused, “It takes you down the country backroads to the tobacco fields of Taylorsville, KY, where a young talent was being honed. Not only a great singer, songwriter, and entertainer; but JD is kind, charismatic, and captivating in person,” while 5x GRAMMY® Award Winner and Country Music Hall of Fame Member Joe Bonsall (The Oak Ridge Boys) said, “Shelburne has been honing his craft for a long time now and I believe this project will launch him into a whole new level of success…And big time success is what this guy deserves…He is the real deal.”

Following the release, Shelburne hosted a hometown show that saw attendance of nearly 11,000.

About JD Shelburne:  Nashville-based country music artist JD Shelburne was raised on a tobacco farm in Taylorsville, Kentucky, just outside of Louisville. When JD was 19, he found a guitar after the death of his grandmother and quickly learned how to play it, and began writing and singing songs on his own. By his sophomore year of college, he had found a few gigs at some local bars in both Louisville and Lexington, developing a large fanbase along the way.

His debut single and video for “One Less Girl” made its world premiere with CMT in 2018, then went on to become a Top 30 MusicRow charting song at country radio. CMT continued to support JD’s subsequent video releases (they’ve featured seven, so far), with his video for “Church Pew Bar Stool” taking the #1 spot on CMT’s famous 12-Pack. In 2020, Shelburne was featured on the cover of the official 2020 Kentucky Tourism Visitor’s Guide, Kentucky Living, and was the May Artist of the Month for Texas Roadhouse. He was recently honored with a display at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, as well as formal acclamation from Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky, honoring Shelburne for his accomplishments in the country format.

A true road warrior, Shelburne has played well over 3,000 shows, performing an average of 150-200 each year, and opening for award-winning acts like ZZ Top, Marty Stuart, Montgomery Gentry, Chris Young, Kellie Pickler, Exile and more. In 2022, his performance history paid off when he was named one of the world’s Top 500 bands by Bandsintown and, in 2023, he was featured on Circle All Access hit show The Southern Weekend, hosted by Runaway June songstress Natalie Stovall.

In July, Shelburne released his long awaited sixth studio album, Neon Hallelujah. Co-produced by Shelburne with Mike Proctor, Bart Bush, and Maks Gabriel, the 14-track project features previously released tunes like title track “Neon Hallelujah,” upbeat, devil-may-care “That Devil In Me,” and Shelburne’s rendition of classic hymn “Amazing Grace” (featuring 3x GRAMMY® Award-winning quartet, The Oak Ridge Boys), as well as several new songs, like the drifty, mid-tempo album opener “Cars & Trucks,” which harbors a deeper “where are we all headed in life” context, celebratory “Raise One Up,” and anthemic summer tune “Let Love Down.”
