Bobby Marquez Album Featuring Grammy Award Considered, Academy of Western Artist Awarded and CMA Of Texas Award-Winning Self-Penned Songs

Has Newfound Resurgence on Charts Among Legendary Entertainers

Six Years After First Release

“The Cowboy Way” is the most-personal album and song to date from country/western artist Bobby Marquez. And now, the multi-awarded track list is getting new life from fans globally downloading the album and title track, placing both on worldwide charts this month.

Six years after the original release, the single, “The Cowboy Way,” debuts at number 25 this week on the New Zealand/Australia ITunes Top 100 Country Songs Chart alongside hits from Faith Hill, Brad Paisley and Jordan Davis.

And “The Cowboy Way” album made a strong showing at 100 on the Apple Music Top 100 Country Albums Chart following superstars Waylon Jennings, Brothers Osborne and Midland.

Marquez wrote the song and shared these thoughts, “I cannot even express how much this means to me, to see music lovers embrace this song. ‘The Cowboy Way’ is the real life story of my father-in-law. It was written before his passing when he was very sick with cancer. One of my idols, Rex Allen Jr. stepped up and produced it in his studio. This meant the world to my family. And we still get emotional when I sing it or we hear the record. I am so grateful to everyone that downloaded my very first cowboy song.”

The track list proved to be the most successful recordings from Bobby Marquez. Besides a CMA of Texas Award for the title track, another song on the album written by Bobby Marquez and Memarie Jobe titled, “For Awhile,” recorded as a duet with Rhonda Vincent, earned a Grammy Award consideration and an Academy of Western Artists Will Rogers Award. Fan favorite, “Speak Love,” co-written by Marquez and Karen Staley was also honored with an Americana Song of the Year award from the CMA of Texas.

Meanwhile, Bobby Marquez has enjoyed a busy summer recording new music and entertaining at various songwriting events. Marquez also hosted his 10th Annual Country With Heart Benefit raising 40-thousand dollars during CMA Fest week for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
