About The Bluebird Cafe: The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world’s preeminent listening rooms that has gained worldwide recoginition as a songwriter’s performance space where the “heroes behind the hits” perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. The venue presents two shows a night, seven nights a week. On any given night, artists such as LeAnn Rimes, Maren Morris, and Phil Vassar mingle with writers such as Marcus Hummon (Bless the Broken Road/Rascal Flatts), Allen Shamblin, (I Can’t Make You Love Me/Bonnie Raitt), Matraca Berg (Strawberry Wine/Deana Carter, Hilary Lindsey (Jesus Take the Wheel/Carrie Underwood) and Chris Tompkins and Josh Kear (Before He Cheats/Carrie Underwood). A typical nightly performance consists of three or four songwriters seated in the center of the room (our signature In The Round format) where the writers take turns sharing their songs and stories behind the songs. It is an experience that few forget, and one that reflects why Nashville is known as Music City.

About Bobby Marquez: Bobby Marquez is an awarded singer/songwriter, originally from South Texas. Marquez has become known for his charismatic smile and fun-loving honky tonk style of music paired with inspiring lyrics. His timely song, “Speak Love,” shows his kind heart and has earned him the CMA of Texas Americana Award for 2021. Also awarded by the Academy of Western Artists, Bobby was considered for a Grammy Award for his duet with Rhonda Vincent on a song Marquez co-wrote titled, “For Awhile.” The song also won CMA of Texas Duet of the Year and the Academy of Western Artists Song of the Year.. His original tune, “The Cowboy Way,” was designated the theme song of the annual Gene Autry Museum Festival in Oklahoma. Bobby Marquez appears on television’s Larry’s Country Diner, The Penny Gilley Show and Country Fix, while his music videos are seen around the world on various networks. His music can be heard on radio stations around the globe, including on Willie’s Roadhouse on Sirius/XM Radio. Marquez’s songs have been recorded by George Strait, Alan Jackson, Rhonda Vincent, Ty Herndon and Johnny Rodriguez.

About Barbara Fairchild: Known for her signature hit, “Teddy Bear Song,” Barbara Fairchild is a Grammy Award nominated and Christian Music Hall of Fame entertainer. And most recently, Fairchild was inducted into the Arkansas Country Music Hall of Fame and the North America Country Music Association Hall of Fame. Barbara Fairchild has charted thirty-seven singles in addition to recording numerous albums. As a member of The Grand Ladies, her ministry and her touring shows, Barbara’s sincere love for people and her bubbly personality bring light to why the phrase, “to see her is to love her” best defines Barbara Fairchild. Barbara Fairchild’s 2024 began with a chart topping Christian Country music hit on Cashbox. Her current album, “All My Cloudy Days Are Gone,” has been archived by the Country Music Hall of Fame as Barbara goes down in history as the only artist with an album produced by the legendary Don Williams. Barbara Fairchild tour schedule includes a tv appearance in Ireland this summer.

About Wood Newton: Wood Newton is the newest inductee into the Arkansas Country Music Hall of Fame. Wood Newton’s story-telling style of songwriting has garnered him a deep catalogue of cuts and some standout country hits. Born in Hampton (Calhoun County), he is a graduate of the University of Arkansas. In the late 1970s, Newton recorded and released some singles for Elektra Records. However, his notoriety came as a songwriter. In the early 1980s, Newton scored two chart-topping country singles, “Midnight Hauler” by Razzy Bailey in 1981; and “Bobbie Sue” by The Oak Ridge Boys in 1982. He continued to have songwriting success through the decade of the 1980s and into the early 2000s with such country singles as “I Want Everyone to Cry” by Restless Heart; “What I Didn’t Do,” by Steve Wariner; “Twenty Years Ago,” by Kenny Rogers; “The Girl Most Likely To,” by B.J. Thomas; “Lillie’s White Lies,” by Martin Delray; and “Riding with Private Malone,” by David Ball.

About Linda Davis: Labeled a ‘song stylist’, Davis’ unique ability to interpret a song has made her one of Nashville’s favorite vocalists. As her talents began to catch the attention of label executives, she landed her first record deal with CBS/ Epic Records.

Davis quickly gained a legion of friends and fans in the music industry, one being superstar Reba McEntire. Their mutual respect led them into the studio together where they recorded a duet entitled Does He Love You that went on to become a #1 hit and earn both artists several awards including a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Collaboration. Today, Linda tours with her husband, Lang Scott as a power singing/songwriting duo.
