Turnberry Records is thrilled to announce the signing of acclaimed bluegrass and country artist Kevin Denney. Alongside this exciting news, Kevin’s highly anticipated single, “Chasing Old Memories Down,” will be released on all digital platforms on August 16th.
Kevin Denney, a native of Monticello, Kentucky, has been a stalwart in the music industry, known for his soulful voice and exceptional songwriting. Growing up on a family farm, Kevin’s
musical journey began at a young age. Immersed in a family of musicians, Kevin’s parents, part of a gospel quartet, gifted him his first guitar when he was just three years old. Influenced by legendary artists like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, Larry Sparks, Tony Rice, Harley Allen, and Ricky Skaggs, Kevin’s passion for music was ignited early.
Kevin’s career trajectory took him from local clubs and festivals in Kentucky to the vibrant music scene of Nashville. His dedication and talent led to a record deal with Lyric Street Records, where he released the critically acclaimed album and hit single “That’s Just Jessie.” Kevin’s songwriting prowess earned him a publishing deal with Disney Music Publishing, leading to numerous hits, including “Bonfire” by Craig Morgan, which reached #4 on Billboard’s Hot Country chart.
Kevin’s songwriting achievements are impressive, with cuts by notable artists like Tracy Byrd, Easton Corbin, Daily & Vincent, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, The Lonesome River Band, The Grascals, Blue Moon Rising, and Volume Five. His work with Larry Sparks on the album ’40’ earned the IBMA Recorded Event of the Year award in 2005.
