Charitable Hope Nation Radio is kicking off Childhood Cancer Awareness month in September by hosting their 8th Annual 30 Days of Hope benefit concert, which will feature some of Nashville’s greatest hit singer/songwriters.
This show will take place the evening of Wednesday, September 6th at 3rd & Lindsley and will benefit the Live4Tay Foundation. Proceeds raised this night will go directly to the foundation to support families of children with cancer.
The all-star lineup will feature acoustic performances from Brady Seals, Buddy Jewell, Gordon Kennedy, John Berry, Keith Anderson, Paul Jefferson, and Sonny Lemaire of Exile

Brady Seals: This Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter has sold over 11 million albums, topped three genres simultaneously, received two Grammy nominations and his songs continue to captivate audiences. He is best known for his tenure in Little Texas where he spent six years as keyboardist and co-lead singer. They won ACM’s “Vocal Group of the Year” and celebrated three consecutive number one hits with What Might Have Been, God Blessed Texas and My Love, granting him the ASCAP “Triple Play Award.” Most recently, he has co-founded Music City Pickers LIVE! in Franklin, TN which featured Ricky Skaggs, Richie McDonald (Lonestar), Peter Frampton and many other hit makers.
Buddy Jewell: Since bursting into the scene after winning the first season of the television series Nashville Star, Jewell has achieved many impressive career highlights including his self-titled debut album debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Album charts and being named “New Artist of the Year” by ABC Radio Networks.
Gordon Kennedy: This multi Grammy award-winning songwriter, producer, and world-class guitarist became nationally recognized when he won “Song of the Year” at the 1997 Grammys for Eric Clapton’s No. 1 hit, Change The World, which he co-wrote alongside Wayne Kirkpatrick and Tommy Sims. In addition, he had his songs cut by musical greats Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, George Strait, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, Alison Krauss, Wynonna, Ricky Skaggs, Don Henley, Bonnie Raitt, Peter Frampton, and more. He has also done session work for Faith Hill, SHeDAISY, Billy Ray Cyrus, Wynonna, Peter Frampton, Michael McDonald, Jewel, Kenny Loggins and Little Big Town. John Berry: Grammy Award-winning country star John Berry has placed 20 singles on the country hit parade charts, six of which went Top 5 as well as a No. 1 on the Billboard and Radio & Records country charts. He has earned numerous Gold and Platinum records. Berry’s co-written A Mind Of Her Own and Kiss Me In The Car introduced him to radio audiences in 1993. Then, Your Love Amazes Me, What’s In It For Me and You And Only You thrust him to stardom in 1994. Standing On The Edge Of Goodbye, I Think About It All The Time, and If I Had Any Pride Left At All were all major hits the following year. Your Love Amazes Me earned him a Grammy nomination in 1995. Berry took Change My Mind into the country music Top 5 in 1996. She’s Taken A Shine became an even bigger hit in 1997. That same year, he was nominated for CMA Vocal Event of the Year for Long Haired Country Boy with Charlie Daniels and Hal Ketchum. Both fans and the media took note when There He Goes was released as a 1999 duet with Patsy Cline.
Berry’s most recent venture is an all-new national television show titled, Songs & Stories. The 30-minute TV show focuses on the singer and the song— the music that changed his guests’ lives and inspired them to be the artists they are today. The first season features Berry with special guests Billy Ray Cyrus, Craig Morgan, Clay Walker, Suzy Bogguss, Mo Pitney, Neal McCoy, Billy Dean, Collin Raye, Mark Wills, Lee Roy Parnell, and Delbert McClinton. Keith Anderson: This singer/songwriter wrote the Grammy-nominated, Beer Run (B Double E Double Are You In?) for Garth Brooks and George Jones and the No. 1 Big and Rich song, Lost In This Moment which garnered him a CMA and ACM Song of the Year nomination. His own songs have also gained national exposure. His debut album placed two singles in the Top 10, Pickin’ Wildflowers and Everytime I Hear Your Name. The release of his sophomore album would see the biggest success of his career, I Still Miss You which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart.
Paul Jefferson: This singer/songwriter’s first commercial success came with Aaron Tippin’s No. 1 hit, That’s as Close as I’ll Get To Loving You. He had songs cut by other notable artists such as, Keith Urban, Buddy Jewell and Little Texas. In 1996, he released his debut album which included the Top 40 hit, Check Please. After he and a few other songwriters had written three No. 1 and six top 10 country hits, they decided to form the band Hilljack in 2004, made their Grand Ole Opry debut, and their single This Could Get Good made the Top 20 on GAC’s video countdown. In 2011, he and his wife, Canadian country music star, Lisa Brokop formed the group The Jeffersons and released their debut album. His new record, Brookhollow Road, features the single, Nothing Down That Road.
Sonny Lemaire: Lemaire joined country group Exile as a bassist and vocalist and had their first hit in 1978, Kiss You All Over. Their third LP sold five million units. Epic Records quickly took interest and in 1983, Woke Up In Love shot to No. 1. They would then see nine consecutive No. 1 singles including, I Don’t Want To Be A Memory and Give Me One More Chance. The group disbanded in 1994, leaving him time to dive into the Nashville songwriting community. He had two bands, Burning Daylight and a trio of writers that included himself, Mark Selby and Clay Mills. Lemaire is happy to be back with the original members of Exile as they embark on a new journey.

bout Live4Tay Foundation: The foundation financially supports families who have children with cancer by raising money and awareness through benevolent fundraising events. They have helped 110 families in Tennessee and raised around $200k for local families. They also assist other organizations in financing research for preventing and curing cancer, especially in children.
