DSCN5257When you attend an event  featuring entertainers like John Anderson, Smith & Wesley and Bucky Covington, you know you are in for a good time.  But, you probably wouldn’t expect that good time to start when the first opening act takes the stage. Yesterday we told you about the opener, Cotter Hill [Article].  With Cotter’s performance, we knew we were in for a great night.

Mitch Rossell, the second performer,  is a singer-songwriter who already sports a very impressive resume. One of the songs he wrote, “Ask Me How I Know,” sung by Garth Brooks made it all the way to #1.  With the help of Garth and Bryan Kennedy, Mitch also co-wrote Garth’s current hit, “All Day Long”.

”Mitch Rossell has one of those voices that spins your head around the second you hear it, but that is only the beginning. Once he has your attention, get ready for some of the best lyrics and melodies you have ever heard.” The reason that is in quotes is becaomse someone said that … not me,  but someone.  And, that someone was Garth Brooks.  The reason I used that quote here is because it’s true. (And, probably because I wish I had said it).

Mitch has a huge smile, and a lot of personality.  He’s the kind of artist you feel you could get to know easily, as he looks down at you from the stage.  Hard to decide what to like best about this artist, his vocals are as good as the songs he writes.

DSCN5276 DSCN5268Mitch also did an acoustic performance, which included a great cover of The Eagles, “Take It Easy”.  Some of his original songs we heard were “Any Girl,” and  “Hard Work Makes Beer Taste Better”.  I’m going to include the video for”Any Girl” at the end of this article.  If you haven’t heard this one, I think you all are going to like it.

For more news and shoe schedule for Mitch, visit his website and Facebook. You will find him on Instagram @mitch_rossell,  His Twitter is also @mitch_rossell.
