Emily Hackett was recently named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country 2019, as well as one of The Boot’s Artists to Watch in 2018, and Rolling Stone’s 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know earlier this year. She also released her By the Sun EP to rave reviews and appeared in dozens of interviews with top-tier country sites. Needless to say, Emily crushed it this year, and we think her soulful, classic cover is the perfect way to send off 2018.
She has re-released her 2017 cover of John Lennon’s “Happy XMAS (War Is Over”). No matter what genre’ you like best, this is an awesome song. And, country artist Emily Hackett has certainly done a great job with both the song, and the heartwarming lyric video.
