I enjoy subscribing to artists e-mail update.  Many times, I receive news directly from them that I didn’t hear about through public relations or label representatives.  That happened to day, when I received an email from Matt Stillwell.  For those of you in the Canton, N.C. area, Matt wanted to let you all know about the free concert, which is part of the Veterans Day Celebration.  The event will be held at Sorrells Park in Canton, from 6-8 p.m. on Nov. 11.  Matt is also taking part in an 11 a.m. Veterans Day Service in the Pisgah High School Auditorium that morning.

In the email, he not only announced the show, with an invitation for everyone to bring family and friends, but also to let them know that if the weather gets bad, the event will be moved indoors to Pisgah High School Auditorium.  Since it i currently scheduled for outdoors, those attending will need to bring lawn chars or blankets.
