Tickets went on sale this morning on The Bluebird Cafe website, selling out in just a few hours, for the inaugural International Western Music Association Tennessee Chapter’s ‘Songwriters In The Round Spotlight.’ The country/western music acoustic performance will be on Wednesday evening, July 13th, at 9pm at the world famous venue on Hillsboro Pike in Nashville, The Bluebird Cafe. There will be a few walk-up seats that are first come, first serve when doors open at 8:30pm, with a $15 cover charge.

The ‘sold-out’ event will feature acoustic performances and storytelling, embracing the country/western lifestyle, blending honky tonk, western swing, cowboy and folk influences. The star performers for the evening are CMA of Texas and Academy of Western Artist award winning singer/songwriter Bobby Marquez, Ameripolitan nominated entertainers and radio hosts The Farmer and Adele and multiple award winner and international touring artist Mary Kaye Holt.

Equestrian Legacy Radio’s Gary Holt will host the 90-minute songwriters round for the evening. This night of music will spearhead more gatherings for country/western music lovers with Equestrian Legacy Radio’s Rendezvous 2022 coming up September 29th through October 1st at the Circle E Guest Ranch in Winchester, Tennessee. The IWMA national convention is scheduled for November in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Over 70,000 people visit The Bluebird Cafe annually, many of them as a result of seeing The Bluebird on television on such shows as “Nashville” or reading about the club in publications such as Southwest Spirit, National Geographic Traveler, The New York Times or hearing it mentioned by artists such as Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Kathy Mattea, Trisha Yearwood, Kim Richey, Dierks Bentley, Faith Hill and Vince Gill, all of whom have had career moments over the past 40 years at the unique club.

About Bobby Marquez:  Bobby Marquez is an awarded singer/songwriter, originally from South Texas. Marquez has become known for his charismatic smile and fun-loving honky tonk style of music paired with inspiring lyrics. His timely song, “Speak Love,” shows his kind heart and has earned him the CMA of Texas Americana Award for 2021. Also awarded by the Academy of Western Artists, Bobby was considered for a Grammy Award for his duet with Rhonda Vincent on a song Marquez co-wrote titled, “For Awhile.” The song also won CMA of Texas Duet of the Year and the Academy of Western Artists Song of the Year.. His original tune, “The Cowboy Way,” was designated the theme song of the annual Gene Autry Museum Festival in Oklahoma. Bobby Marquez appears on television’s Larry’s Country Diner, The Penny Gilley Show and Country Fix, while his music videos are seen around the world on various networks. His music can be heard on radio stations around the globe, including on Willie’s Roadhouse on Sirius/XM Radio. Marquez’s songs have been recorded by George Strait, Alan Jackson, Rhonda Vincent, Ty Herndon and Johnny Rodriguez.
