Randy Rogers Band is ready for the open road, releasing the brand-new music video for their latest single, “Fast Car.” First premiering exclusively with CMT on Wednesday (11/16) across CMT, CMT Music and CMT.com, the video is now available everywhere today (11/17).
Directed by Dustin Haney, who won a CMA Award and a CMT Music Award this year for Cody Johnson’s “‘Til You Can’t,” the “Fast Car” video was filmed at the world-famous Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth and features Randy Rogers Band performing as a couple meets at the iconic venue and starts to fall in love.
“I hope this video reminds fans of just how much fun it’s supposed to be to meet someone you really like, even if it’s at a bar,” Randy Rogers shares. “The actors really captured those exciting, early moments of falling for each other.”
CMT deemed “Fast Car” the “ultimate love song,” noting that its “captivating storyline touches upon the butterfly-provoking process of falling head-over-heels for someone you like.” The song was written by Randy Montana, Wendell Mobley and Lee Miller, “but it’s how the Randy Rogers Band delivers the narrative that brings the track to new heights” thanks to Rogers’ “ear-grabbing grit.”
“Fast Car” hit Texas Country radio this week as Randy Rogers Band’s latest single from their ninth studio album, Homecoming, which was released in October. The album reteamed the group with producer Radney Foster and marks Randy Rogers Band’s 20th anniversary together. Listen to Homecoming here and see Randy Rogers Band’s full list of tour dates here.
