Sometimes we just don’t know as much about an artist as we’d like to … that is, until we see them on stage! We have all heard “The Devil You know” on the radio. I always like the song. I’m a ‘lyric listener’. I enjoy stories as much as I enjoy the music. I had a little idea what to expect when Tyler stepped on stage. But I did hear more than I expected. His vocals are incredible. You couldn’t help but notice how not only how well he works with his band, but how comfortable he is on stage.
I enjoyed watching him sing some of my favorite songs. “Try Losing One” is more than a story – to just about everyone in that crowd, it was meaningful memory. I have a feeling most of us know what it is to lose someone. And again, such awesome vocals. He gave us songs like, “Neon Grave”, “Ways to Miss You”, “Breaking In These Boots” and “More Than a Prayer”. I’m not going to list all the songs he did that night, but I will tell you there wasn’t one that was not a crowd-pleaser. I heard so many songs I could sing along with, not that anyone would have wanted to hear me. But I did miss one or two from that night. One of my very favorite Tyler Braden songs is, “You Can Thank Me For That”.
Tyler took the time before his show to come out and meet the folks from WXBQ Radio. He did an on-air interview with Marcus Brooks. Fans watched the interview, took pictures, and some even taped the. He is very appreciative of his fans, and we all knew we were the reason he was there. Tyler did something that isn’t done much anymore, he came out after the show, talked to fans at the merch table, posed for photos and signed autographs.
I hope you have all had a chance to listen to his CD. Get to know Tyler Braden. And definitely keep an eye on his upcoming show dates. You are really going to want to catch this guy on stage. Be sure to check out his new one “More Than A Prayer”. I really hope you will all take a few minutes and listen to Tyler’s music. You are going to fall in love.
