Joe Nichols said it best, in his song “It Never Gets Old”. Joe’s  music and watching him perform on stage will never get old!  This is the fourth or fifth time I’ve been fortunate enough to see him on stage.  He is fun to watch.  He works hard, and he has a band working hard behind him.  He never disappoints.  Always bringing out some of his absolute best music for fans to enjoy.  My mouth filled my entire face with a really huge smile when he sang “Billy Graham’s bible”.  I have always loved that song.  A lot of the songs on his setlist were not a a surprise at all.  He gave us his biggest hits, our favorite songs, and did everything he could do to make sure each and every one of us had an awesome time.

Joe definitely has a way with people, he’s easy to talk to, and always pleasant.  His smile is infectious.  He’s been part of our country music entertainment for 20 years, and has given us so many songs we love to listen to, and love to sing.

WXBQ was again  on hand every night during the fair = broadcasting live, interviewing artists, and of course bringing them out onto the stage for their show. We also want to send out a big thank you to ROCKY TOP VAPOR (Johnson City, Greeneville, Elizabethton) for sponsoring the Main Stage for Joe’s show.

He closed out with “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off”. Not a surprise that every audience member knew every word to that one. “I’ll Wait For You”, another one of my favorites, had a calming affect on the crowd as they sat quietly and paid full attention to every word.  He followed that one with “The Shape I’m In”, and everyone was singing again.  It was a fun night.  Some other songs included were “The Impossible”, “Brokenheartsville”, “What’s a Guy Gotta Do”, “Gimme That Girl”, “Sunny and 75”, and “Yeah”.  Oh, there were a lot more.  He has a show that kept us all interested, involved, and definitely entertained.

Joe’s band is made up of Michael Jeffers, bass; Conway Turley, steel; Josh Henson, guitar; David Northrup, drums; Matthew Gatch, keyboard, and Brian Spradlin, acoustic.
